The Olympics and knitting

I think this may be the perfect way to watch the Olympics...knitting needles in hand. So far I've managed to listen to hours of beach volleyball with a little men's gymnastics, Phelps-record breaking laps, and interviews with the American fencing girls...all while knitting. While I watched the opening ceremony, I was moved by the feeling of wishing to be there in person. Now that it's all beach volleyball and laps in a pool, I'm liking my knitting needles. Here's what I really wanted to know: medal count. This morning, the US is tied with China for first with 8 medals each. Just in case you haven't been watching the sand flying or water splashing...

I found the photo at Boston.com and this is just one of the collection of amazing shots. Click here to see them all.

Olympics and knitting seem to go very well together. The swimming has been spectacular

I have been doing Olympic frogging! I should be doing plain Stockinette, not something that takes any concentration.
