Just in case you were wondering, chicken parmesan was the challenge for the weekend. I found a recipe for a "light" chicken recipe, and I had about a million servings of angel hair pasta (note to self: don't make the whole package next time) to go with my diced tomatoes. And mine looked just like this (EVOO and all). I would have taken a picture of mine, but by the time all the smoke cleared, I had eaten all of it.
And it was good. Beginner's luck or latent cooking talent just waiting to be found? Probably beginner's luck. I'll have to try it again to see. First, I need to replace the batteries in the smoke detectors. Clearly, they aren't working properly.
