New construction

I've admitted a weird passion for lists. I also enjoy climbing around new construction. I think I picked this up while I was shopping for a new house last year. This weekend, I went out to see my aunt's new house. She's building in the other "least expensive new subdivision in Benton." I live in one, she'll live in the other. It's waaay out, and feels very country (I mean, you drive past horses, pastures...that means country to me) and she's going to love every minute. When I was looking at houses, she and my mother came along to give me opinions. Some were helpful. If you share my strange addiction, here are some pictures...

You really have to watch the first step, don't you?

Hi Cheryl,

I'm totally with you on this one. I love climbing around construction jobs. When I did so as a youngster I stepped on a rusty nail - not good. I got better, though, and used to join the zoning inspectors on their rounds as they inspected new construction in the township where I worked years ago. I haven't thought about that in some time. Loved this post.
Thanks!
