Surprise!

Saturday for the first time ever, my family threw me a surprise party to celebrate finishing up my MBA. Actually, it was called a "troast". A toast/roast combo. It was so much fun! Some of my friends from work came and most of the comments were closer to toast than roast. Of course, it was in the middle of the current monsoon, the roads out of my subdivision were closed off (never seen that before)and I was 15 minutes late...instead of being there before the "surprise" part of it. And I had already added up 1 + 1 + 1 and ended up with "surprise" before I got there. That's definitely the way to do it...good hair, the right clothes, and a nice party anyway.

It was a good night to remember how lucky I am to have such a great family and friends. And now my friends understand that I don't make up the stories that I tell them about my family. It's all true.
Here's a bonus picture...Darcy's "wet hair" look.

I have just found your blog thanks to Joan "Lazy Girl" Hawley. I am adding a hearty CONGRATULATIONS for your MBA. As a graduate school admissions officer, I know that just getting accepted to school is hard enough, but completing a degree with a job on the side (hehe) is remarkable. Job well done! You go girl.
