So I finished it...my very first sock! It's a little loose and floppy but I think I'm OK with that. It was good enough to mess with Darcy a little. So I gotta get the mate cast on quick before I succumb to the lure of a new yarn and a new pattern...and the possibility of perfection.

You MUST persevere and make sock #2! :)
Just thing how warm those socks will be on a winter hike... yes, just keep dreaming of cooler days... then go get another ice cold Diet Coke! (if the machine is not out)
If it were me, I would pick a different yarn (and maybe even bigger needles) BEFORE starting the other one. That way, there's no pressure to make them look alike.
