Does anyone else do this?

The photo comes from the Fail site and as it relies heavily on the lolcats model, if you don't get lolcats, you probably won't get the fail either...so see the book on the dashboard? It's about overcoming hoarding. One look into the backseat reveals that it...failed. See?

Anyway, it's hard to come up with a cheerful picture for obsessive-compulsive impulses. And I have them. I posted on the other site a video for this song that I'm compulsively listening to (when I have my iPod which I do not currently because I left it at home because I was busy playing card games on it last night and forgot to put it back in my purse and didn't realize that until I was already on the way to work this morning. I think I'm going to be OK).

Does anybody else do this? Find a song that you really love and then you listen to it over and over, sometimes several times in a row? I do. It doesn't happen often, but I'm in one of those phases. Maybe it's my mild case of OCD. Mild because it's only annoying, not really life-altering. And it only kicks in with things like fretting that I left the oven on (even though I haven't cooked in days) or wondering if I actually remembered to put my garage door down and hoarding books and Diet Coke. It's not strong enough to impact anything that might actually help me, either. Cleanliness and order don't apparently come with my compulsions, just repetitive songs and random hoarding.

About the song thing, I have good news and bad news.

The good news: You don't have to attribute this to being mildly OC.

The bad news: You aren't going to grow out of it. We all do it. We do it because we are GIRLS!
