Here come the judge

I had my first opportunity to report for jury duty yesterday. It was two months in to my four month obligation, but I did finally get to go to the courthouse. And I only made it into the crowd of hopefuls, but never got the chance to audition. (Have I been watching too much American Idol?) I watched for over two hours as the lawyer-types questioned other lucky people who made it into the jury box and eventually they came up with 12 people. And I was a little sad on my way in to work. But then there were cookies from the test kitchen and everything was OK again.

Note to self: I Heart cookie books.
