Fabric shopping

Instead of doing any of the things I'm supposed to be doing (working on my taxes, cleaning my house, knitting a sock), I've decided that it must be time to buy some fabric. After more than a year of buying NO quilting fabric, I think it's time for just a bit.  (Avoiding the show in Paducah and Hancock's of Paducah was critical to that success. And I did remember that it's not quite true...there was that kit at the Hot Springs quilt show, but I just consider that good manners.) I've created 7 gifts from my fabric stash. Adding a little, just a little bit of fabric isn't such a big deal, right?

I'm thinking of getting some of this for a bag of my own, one for my net book. I like the words and the rickrack.

Of course, it looks like it's only available in layer cakes right now and I need some yardage.

Maybe I should keep shopping.
Or maybe I should buy the layer cakes and then keep shopping. There's so much pretty fabric in the world...how to choose?

if you like it...get it while the getting is good!
