Nose meet grindstone

I believe my budding novel should have reached 16,667 words by the end of the day. I don't think it will. If I am roughly 12,000 words behind and write approximately 2,000 words a day around 3 days a week, I should be able to finish...never-ish. I think. Somebody should double-check my calculations.

Other things I've done:
Wrote my monthly email-y inspirationally thing for this group I volunteer time with. It was about my fear of airport security but my absolute trust in flying. I left my intense aversion for my TSA pat down out. It could quite easily turn into a rant. I try to avoid those.
Finished up the first work of art I completed and sent it away to a real live editor and everything.
Protected my dog from a very nonthreatening Terminix man.
Hit the Barnes & Noble. Didn't buy anything. Begin to wonder if I am sick.

I don't think I can put it off much longer. Today, I need to write. After all, I snookered someone in to play National Novel Writing Month with me and then cheated with vacation time. What good am I if I fail to capitalize on my diabolical plan?

Other things I need to do include: yard work, house work, grocery shopping, and pondering the looming behemoth that is Christmas.
Yep, it seems like a very good day to write.

You finished the manuscript? That is so fabulous!!! Phenomenal!!! Outrageously great!!! You must have champagne. That's tradition. Or at least a champagne-flavored truffle from Crown Shop. Congratulations!!!!!

Now, about that diabolical plan...I'm sneaking up on you....
