The socks are done!
I took out the one sock to measure the sock in progress and then set it to the side. When I looked up, a certain dog had it in his mouth, watching me. After a no-tugging tug of war, I rescued it from the jaws of death.

I do think we should all take a minute and enjoy these socks now while they are new and whole. This could be the last time you see them this way.
