Little Rock Zoo pictures

I think I said something about turning this back into a quilt blog, but I already have all these photos that may never see the light of day elsewhere...so here's one more photography post. I took these on Wednesday while I was off and apparently the weather was perfect...for long, drowsy naps in the shade.

What do you think? Are any of these worthy of entering into the zoo's contest? I have to pay a whole $5 to do it, so I have to think long and hard over it. I like the one of the lion rolling in the grass. I also like the vampire tiger shot...he's either saying..."I vant to suck your blood" or "What's up, doc?" (for a bucktoothed, rabbit-like smile).

Also, I've now determined what Darcy's mix is. Darcy the dog is a Labrador...Sloth Bear mix. The sloth bear is the one eating the wall, fuzzy-wuzzy and hungry. Jean, you might check into Betty's ancestors, too. She might be part Sloth Bear since she has a thing for eating the walls.

I like the Tiger shot - the movement is nice where many of the other shots the animals are still...

I also love the color contrast with the orange and that nice bright green.

Nice work!!! Thanks for sharing! (oh - I love the tulips also - they are my favorite flower to photograph)
