Glendalough

On our trip through County Wicklow (Waterford is out of order, now that I think about it, but I think you can still enjoy the pictures, right?), we stopped at Glendalough, a monastic site started by St. Kevin in 545 (double check my facts before you quote me). The site has the ruins of several churches and 100-ft round tower and a cemetary (swarming with tourists). There's also a very pretty lake...I'm sure. Jean ran all the way down as fast as we could, managed to snap a shot or two, and raced all the way back to catch the bus. It was one of the days I was sick and I was dying of thirst. OK, not literally. I'm sure I whined, but Jean stayed firmly on the high road and put up with me.
