The Support of my "Friends"

I would like to thank everyone who has made such kind comments or laughed hysterically at my weekend story. It's nice to know that you can laugh at me. I guess. Now I know the secret to getting feedback on this blog...tell the most embarrassing story I can.
Regina asked where I live...yes, I live in the south. Apparently chivalry is dying here too.
Pat says he must have missed out on the impress the girl message. Based on the entire evening and conversation...um...yep.
Jennifer laughed at my dog-door ending and I tried to get some info from her. Then she told me one of her dating stories. I'm thinking we might be looking at a whole 'nother blog, but since I've hit my 5 year dating limit (that would be 2 total), somebody else will have to write it. Well, actually, if I can go back in time, I have plenty embarassment to share.
And most of my friends are totally horrified at leaving before I was safely in the house. All I have to say is...based on my "dire situation" caused by the jumbo-gigantic Diet Coke and my final method of entry, I'm just glad I didn't have an audience.

And to top it all off...I determined today that my cell phone is currently dead. Considering the rest of my luck, it was probably dead at midnight as well. So it's a good thing I got myself in there even if my back (my arm, and my umbrella) will never be the same.

That is the one fortunate aspect of leaving your dating life to lie fallow for a time (euphemism for "ain't been asked since 2002”)–horror stories about dates actually improve with time and the retelling.
