Our snow day

When we were in Minneapolis, we talked to natives about how much snow we see around here. And the answer is "Not much at all." In fact, I think this may be our only "snow day" this winter (and as it was too little, too late to keep us at home, I hesitate to dignify it with the name). These pictures were made as I left home and as I drove in to work this morning. Pretty, right? We needed photos because if the weather people are right, it will all be gone this afternoon. Of course, I was cursing the picture impulse when I stopped on the driveway. Getting going again was no simple decision this morning. Luckily, there was almost zero oncoming traffic because I drove on that side for a while too.
